Harry Kane was surprisingly booked for diving with England fans shocked that the striker failed to win a penalty.
The Three Lions beat Malta 2-0 in their penultimate Euro 2024 qualifier ahead of next summer's tournament in Germany.

Gareth Southgate's side took an early lead at Wembley when Phil Foden's cross deflected off Enrico Pepe and into his own net.
England could very well have had the chance to make it 2-0 on the half-hour mark, but instead Kane was booked by the referee.
The Bayern Munich star ran onto a loose ball and appeared to be fouled in the area by Malta goalkeeper Henry Bonello.
Referee Luis Godinho blew his whistle and many expected him to point to the penalty spot, however he chose to show Kane a yellow card instead.

Taking to X, one said: "As if he booked Kane for diving there. That is a stonewall penalty."
"Harry Kane should have had a penalty. That is a farcical decision. Where is VAR?" added a second.
A third commented: "Stonewaller, keeper comes flying out and isn't in control, gets nowhere near the ball."

"How is that a yellow card for Kane," asked a confused fourth as Malta restarted play inside their box.
And this fan simply stated: "Mind Boggling from the referee..."
Kane was finally able to get onto the scoresheet in the 75th minute as he capped off a well-worked move with a close-range finish.
Declan Rice thought he added a third with a fine strike, but VAR ruled it out for an offside from the England captain.
